Basketball Recap: Andover Piles Up the Points Against Eisenhower

Andover won the last time they faced Eisenhower and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Andover Trojans blew past the Eisenhower Tigers 70-35. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Trojans had established a 30 point advantage.

Andover was led to victory by Walker McClellan and Joshua Kim. McClellan made all 6 shots he took to post 15 points and eight rebounds, while Kim went 8 of 16 on his way to 20 points. Kim's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Griffin Hand, who posted ten points.

Andover was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Eisenhower only racked up nine assists.

When it comes to explaining why Eisenhower lost, don't look at Cohen Ho. Despite the final result, he went 5 of 11 on his way to 14 points. Those 14 points gave Ho a new career-high.

Andover's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.1 points per game. As for Eisenhower, they now also have a losing record at 1-2.

Andover will venture away from home to face off against Goddard at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Eisenhower, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Eisenhower Tigers face off against the Andover Central Jaguars at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
