Baseball Recap: Acadiana Christian Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Lions had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They walked away with a 9-4 win over the Acadiana Christian Defenders. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Lane Parks was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Mason Broome, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

The Lions always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as the Defenders only posted an OBP of .333.

The Lions' victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for the Defenders, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.

As of now, neither the Lions nor the Defenders have any future games scheduled.
