Recap: Keller Central Chargers vs. Fossil Ridge Panthers
This season hasn't been kind to The Keller Central Chargers, who are still winless after their ninth contest. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 35-10 walloping at the hands of Fossil Ridge on Thursday. Keller Central was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-3.
Landon Smith threw for 34 yards on two of nine attempts. Spencer Martin was his top target, gaining 71 total yards and a touchdown. On the ground, Dylan Mcafee rushed for 63 yards.
Logan Cundiff was the offensive standout of the game as he threw for 133 yards and two touchdowns. Logan Taylor made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Keller Central's defeat was their tenth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-9. As for Fossil Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.
Keller Central will be playing at home against Timber Creek at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Timber Creek presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Keller Central in Texas (Timber Creek is ranked 77th, while Keller Central is ranked 669th). As for Fossil Ridge, they will head out on the road to face off against Southlake Carroll at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. One thing working in Southlake Carroll's favor is that they have now posted big point totals every time they've taken the field this season.
