Baseball Recap: Carroll Comes Up Short

Carroll lost against Long back in March of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Carroll Eagles lost 13-1 to the Long Rebels. The matchup marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Carroll saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryce Coleman, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Tristan Ivey was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

Carroll is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4. As for Long, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carroll will square off against Early County at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Long, they will challenge Gordo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Long is facing Gordo at the right time seeing as Gordo is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
