However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The Mt. Eden Monarchs will host the San Lorenzo Grizzlies at 4:30 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Mt. Eden lost 3-0 to Arroyo on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, San Lorenzo came up short against San Leandro on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

San Lorenzo took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-17, 25-18.

San Lorenzo's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Mt. Eden, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Mt. Eden couldn't quite get it done against San Lorenzo in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can Mt. Eden avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
