The Leslie County Eagles will venture away from home to take on the Lee County Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Leslie County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.2 points per game this season.

Leslie County came up short against Knox Central on Thursday, falling 68-48. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Leslie County saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jayden Hacker dropped a double-double with 19 points and ten boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Tripp Brashear, who posted two points and seven rebounds.

Even though they lost, Leslie County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in six consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Lee County had to suffer through a 94-59 loss at the hands of Powell County. The loss continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now lost seven in a row.

Leslie County's defeat dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Lee County, their loss dropped their record down to 7-18.

Leslie County beat Lee County 72-59 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Leslie County since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
