Softball Recap: Taconic Takes a Loss

Taconic was the 5-1 winner over Hoosac Valley when they last played one another back in June of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Thunder fell just short of the Hurricanes by a score of 8-7 on Monday.

Ella Stodden made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Kylie Duhamel was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Taconic's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Hoosac Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-2.

Looking ahead, Taconic will venture away from home to face off against Turners Falls at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hoosac Valley, they will host Chicopee at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
