Football Game Preview: Madison Bulldogs vs. West Central Trojans

Madison and West Central are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2016, but not for long. The Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Madison is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 28.7 points per game this season.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Thursday. Madison enjoyed a cozy 20-6 win over Milbank. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Madison.

Madison had a senior duo take command as Shane Veenhof picked up 98 receiving yards and two touchdowns and Caleb Hodges rushed for 124 yards. Those 124 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Hodges.

Madison didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Ethan Sims.

Meanwhile, West Central made easy work of Vermillion on Thursday and carried off a 34-10 victory. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won five games by 22 points or more so far this season.

Madison's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for West Central, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
