Baseball Recap: Kellam Comes Up Short

Ocean Lakes hit Kellam with a six-run sixth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Knights came up short against the Dolphins, falling 12-2. The Knights have struggled against the Dolphins recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Kellam now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Ocean Lakes, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Kellam is set to square off against their familiar foe Cox at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Ocean Lakes will challenge rival Princess Anne at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Dolphins 2.9, the Cavaliers 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
