St. Francis hasn't had much luck against Andover recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Fighting Saints will host the Huskies at 3:45 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (St. Francis 3.1, Andover 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Things were looking good for St. Francis after they put the first run on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Cambridge-Isanti by a score of 4-2. Fighting Saints fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Bluejackets since on Tuesday.

Sydney Borchert spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, St. Francis saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emily Meyer, who went 2-for-4 with one run.
Meanwhile, Andover entered their tilt with Centennial on Tuesday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Cougars.
Andover also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Alex Kostecka gave up only one earned run on five hits and racked up eight Ks.
On the hitting side, Avery Stock was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.
Andover's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-2. As for St. Francis, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-3.
Wednesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. St. Francis hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .316. However, it's not like Andover struggles in that department as they've averaged .389. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
