Two dominant backs in Ryken Banks and Chase Hanosh are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Legend Titans will face off against the Valor Christian Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Legend knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past nine matchups -- so hopefully Valor Christian likes a good challenge.

Legend is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They beat Fort Collins by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 42-28.

Legend got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brooks Goossen out in front who threw for 365 yards and four TDs while picking up 11.1 yards per attempt. Those 365 passing yards gave Goossen a new career-high. Kellen Marchand was in the mix as well, providing Legend with two scores.

Legend was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 288 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 152 rushing yards in ten consecutive contests.

Legend better keep an eye on Titus Huard. He was instrumental in Valor Christian's win, throwing for 309 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 13.4 yards per attempt, and also punching in a pair of TDs on the ground. Cash Spence also helped out as he racked up 130 receiving yards.

Legend's victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.8 points on average over those games. As for Valor Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.

Saturday's contest might be decided on the ground. Legend has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 184.9 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Valor Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 177.2 rushing yards. There's a good chance Saturday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.

Legend was able to grind out a solid win over Valor Christian in their previous meeting back in November of 2023, winning 20-13. Will the Titans repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
