Soccer Recap: Ysleta Gets the Win

There's no place like home for Ysleta, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. While the 3-3 score might suggest a draw, it was the Ysleta Indians who were credited with the win on Friday. The Ysleta Indians got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Harmony Science Academy's two.

Jesus Rodriguez and Raymundo Martinez scored all three of Ysleta's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Ysleta's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those three matchups. As for Harmony Science Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ysleta will venture away from home to take on San Elizario at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ysleta is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.9 goals per game this season. Harmony Science Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Mountain View at 7:00 p.m. on February 18th.
