Softball Recap: Grant County Triumphs

It was close, but on Thursday the Grant County Braves sidestepped the Paul Laurence Dunbar Bulldogs for a 5-4 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Braves.

Grant County's victory bumped their record up to 4-15-1. As for Paul Laurence Dunbar, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-10.

Looking ahead, Paul Laurence Dunbar will be playing in front of their home fans against Shelby County at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Rockets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.28 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of. Grant County will be paying especially close attention to Paul Laurence Dunbar's game: after Paul Laurence Dunbar faces off against Lafayette, they'll take on Grant County again at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
