Howell is 9-1 against Salem since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Highlanders will challenge the Rocks at 4:00 p.m. Howell is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.7 runs per game this season.

Howell is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Gaylord just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Saturday. They came up short against the Blue Devils, falling 10-3.

Amelia Elsey made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one double.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Salem). They blew past Glenn 19-3 on Monday. The Rocks haven't had any issues with the Rockets recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Howell's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Salem, the victory got them back to even at 3-3-1.

Howell skirted past Salem 4-3 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Highlanders since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
