Basketball Recap: Schlarman Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Schlarman can now relate to. They had to suffer through a 64-20 loss at the hands of the Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] Titans. The Hilltoppers' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it nine in a row.

Reagan Troglia was Schlarman's leading scorer, having posted eight points. Izzy Bogen held things down on the boards with 12 rebounds.

Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] found their leader in sophomore Cara Phillips, who went 8-for-13 en route to 18 points and three steals. Phillips continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Amera Roberts was another key player, putting up nine points.

Schlarman's defeat dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland], the victory got them back to even at 15-15.

Schlarman does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland], they will head out to face off against Heritage at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Heritage's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
