Basketball Recap: Grant Latino Key Part of a Team Effort in Raiders Win

Archbishop Rummel picked up another tournament win on Friday. They walked away with a 65-54 win over the North Creek Jaguars. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Raiders.

Archbishop Rummel's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grant Latino, who went 8 for 10 on his way to 19 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave Latino a new career-high in points. TJ Duhe was another key player, going 6 of 9 on his way to 16 points and five assists.

Archbishop Rummel was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive matchups.

North Creek lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Carter Cohen, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 boards. Cohen's morning made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cris Bonicillo, who went 8 of 15 on his way to 16 points.

Archbishop Rummel's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for North Creek, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.

Archbishop Rummel wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 65-43 defeat against Sumner on the 28th. As for North Creek, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 45-41 loss against Incline on the 28th.
