Basketball Recap: Chatham Central Makes It Four in a Row at Home

If Graham wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Chatham Central, they should've done a better job of containing Chloe Scott. The Chatham Central Bears claimed a resounding 66-30 win over the Graham Red Devils thanks in part to Scott, who posted 30 points in addition to five boards and five steals. Those five steals gave her a new career-high.

The team also got some help courtesy of Mattie Underwood, who earned five points along with seven assists and five steals. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game.

Chatham Central's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-6. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30 points. As for Graham, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chatham Central has already played their next match (against Cummings), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Graham will square off against Jordan-Matthews at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Graham has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
