Football Recap: Jaxon Miller's Menacing Defense Leads Charlestown over Madison

Charlestown won the last time they faced Madison, and Christian Grayson did his part to make sure it happened again. The Pirates took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 40-13 victory over the Cubs for which the team can thank Grayson, who threw for 393 yards and six TDs while picking up 16.4 yards per attempt. Grayson is crushing it when it comes to passing touchdowns: he's passed for at least three every time he's taken the field this season.

The team also got some help courtesy of Aj Todd, who gained 113 total yards and a touchdown. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 67 yards.

One reason for the win was Charlestown's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks. Jaxon Miller was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself. Another thorn in Madison's side was Liam Iglesias, who forced one fumble, made nine total tackles (1.0 for loss), and defended four passes in addition to snagging an interception.
