Recap: Albemarle Bulldogs vs. Union Academy Cardinals
The Albemarle Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 73-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of Union Academy. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Union Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Miles Mcginnis, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mcginnis has scored all season. Ethan Rangolan was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds.
Albemarle's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Union Academy, their win bumped their record up to 4-15.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Albemarle will take on North Rowan at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Union Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Gray Stone Day at 7:30 p.m. Union Academy is on a four-game streak of home losses, Gray Stone Day an eight-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
