Volleyball Game Preview: Lathrop Spartans vs. Central Valley Hawks + How To Watch

Lathrop has gone a perfect 3-0 against Central Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Spartans will square off against the Hawks at 6:30 p.m. Lathrop will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

On Wednesday, Lathrop made easy work of Livingston and carried off a 3-0 win.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-9, 25-20.

Lathrop's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sariah Hilton, who had 27 assists and eight aces. Those 27 assists gave Hilton a new career-high. Justine Mabutas was another key player, getting 14 digs and two aces.

Central Valley not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 14, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Johansen. The victory continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won seven in a row.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 4-17. As for Lathrop, their victory bumped their record up to 19-6.

Everything went Lathrop's way against Central Valley in their previous meeting back in September, as Lathrop made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
