Basketball Game Preview: Gaston Greyhounds vs. Knappa Loggers

Gaston hasn't had much luck against Knappa recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Gaston Greyhounds are taking a road trip to face off against the Knappa Loggers at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Gaston is headed into Monday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 17th straight game on Friday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 61-56 to Vernonia/Jewell, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Meanwhile, Knappa made easy work of Nestucca on Friday and carried off a 55-30 win. The Loggers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Knappa pushed their record up to 18-3 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.4 points per game. As for Gaston, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-18.

Gaston was taken down by Knappa 59-29 when the teams last played on January 7th. Can Gaston avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
