Jahleel Lewis Delivers Best Effort of Season

Sandia was led to victory by Jahleel Lewis, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Lewis threw for 215 yards and four touchdowns on only 16 passes, and also rushed for 58 yards and a touchdown on only five carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Kaiden Reese stepped things up a notch to give Los Lunas the 'W'. Reese turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 113 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, while also throwing for 95 yards and two touchdowns. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 73 yards.

Santa Fe had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Reese it was a similar story. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Reese saw the Demons), he rushed for 91 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, and also threw for 85 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.
