Basketball Game Preview: Onsted Wildcats vs. Homer Trojans

The Onsted Wildcats will face off against the Homer Trojans at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Onsted is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

It was a proper cat-fight when Onsted took on Lenawee Christian on Thursday. Onsted secured a 31-25 W over Lenawee Christian. The score was all tied up 13-13 at the break, but the Wildcats were the better team in the second half.

Onsted's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hannah Hill led the charge by putting up eight points along with seven boards and three steals. Hill is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Karlie Kimerer, who posted nine points and three steals.

Onsted smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive rebounds in four consecutive matches.

Homer hasn't had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They skirted past Hillsdale 56-54.

Onsted's record is now 15-7. As for Homer, their record now sits at 8-14.
