Soccer Recap: Arlington Heights' Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

After failing to score in their last game, Arlington Heights made sure to put some goals up on the board against Polytechnic on Friday. They walked away with a 4-2 victory over the Polytechnic Parrots. Given the Yellowjackets' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 282nd, while the Parrots are ranked 616th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win (which was Arlington Heights' third in a row) raised their record to 8-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those three matches. As for Polytechnic, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10-1.

Looking ahead, Arlington Heights will challenge South Hills at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Polytechnic, they will take on Wyatt at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Wyatt will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Polytechnic surely won't give up without a fight.
