Volleyball Recap: Reavis Gets the Win

Reavis won the last time they faced Rich Township and things went their way on Friday too. The Rams sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Raptors.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Reavis who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 26-28, 15-13.

Weronika Kurnat paced Reavis' offense, picking up ten kills. Kurnat got some help from Quetzalli Pichardo-Aich and her 19 assists. Lily Fish controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Reavis' victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Rich Township, their defeat ended a four-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-8.

Coming up, Reavis will be taking part in a tournament against Argo at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Rich Township, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Thornton Fractional South at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
