Baseball Recap: Granville Comes Up Short

Granville made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Bishop Watterson, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Blue Aces fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 6-4 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Blue Aces have suffered since April 20, 2024.

Granville saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Theo Talbott, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Granville's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 18-7. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.33 runs. As for Bishop Watterson, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

While Granville had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
