Blue Ridge Christian extends road losing streak to 11

The Blue Ridge Christian Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 35-23 hit to the loss column at the hands of Shawnee Mission Christian. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Blue Ridge Christian in their matchups with Shawnee Mission Christian: they've now lost three in a row.
Shawnee Mission Christian can attribute much of their success to Emily Kleczka, who scored 20 points along with nine rebounds and four blocks. That makes it three consecutive games in which Kleczka has scored at least 25% of Shawnee Mission Christian's points. Jeydan Umberger was another key contributor, scoring two points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Blue Ridge Christian bumped their record down to 0-3 with that loss, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Shawnee Mission Christian, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.
Blue Ridge Christian will be home for the holidays to greet The Daniel Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Shawnee Mission Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Faith Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
