Volleyball Recap: Steinbrenner Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Lexi Tschopp and Emily Civitillo + How To Watch

Steinbrenner was the 3-0 winner over Newsome when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolves on Thursday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 24-26, 25-19, 25-12.

Steinbrenner's loss came despite strong showings from Emily Civitillo and Lexi Tschopp. Civitillo had eight digs and five aces, while Tschopp had 16 digs and two assists. Civitillo is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Steinbrenner's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Newsome, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Steinbrenner didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Land O' Lakes on the 19th. As for Newsome, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Sickles on the 19th.
