Softball Recap: Watertown Comes Up Short

Watertown entered their game against Kettle Moraine on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Goslings took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lasers. The match marked the Goslings' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Watertown's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Kettle Moraine, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-5.

Looking ahead, Watertown will take on Middleton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Goslings 3.2, the Cardinals 2.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Kettle Moraine, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 5-4 defeat against Sun Prairie West on the 26th.
