Volleyball Recap: West Campus Takes a Loss

West Campus lost against Johnson back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. West Campus fell just short of Johnson by a score of 3-2. While West Campus didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating Johnson 25-17 in the first set.

West Campus took Johnson into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking eight-point loss. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-21, 25-20, 26-28, 15-7.

Among those leading the charge was Evin Vang, who had 17 assists and two aces. Those two aces gave him a new career-high.

West Campus' defeat dropped their record down to 15-17. As for Johnson, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-4.

Looking ahead, West Campus will challenge Florin at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight. As for Johnson, they will be playing at home against Burbank at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
