Meanwhile, Falls Church was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Edison. That's two games in a row now that Falls Church have lost by just one goal.

Falls Church's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Hayfield, they now have a winning record of 4-3-1.

Everything went Hayfield's way against Falls Church in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Hayfield made off with a 4-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hawks since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
