Softball Recap: Floyd County Buffaloes vs. Glenvar Highlanders
Floyd County took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against Glenvar, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Buffaloes narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Highlanders 5-4. The victory was familiar territory for the Buffaloes, who have now won three matchups in a row.
Emma Biesterveld spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on ten hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.
