Baseball Recap: Menomonie Picks Up Second Consecutive Win

While Menomonie's victory against New Richmond wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mustangs beat the Tigers on Tuesday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 5-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Cade Lamb looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Menomonie saw nine different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Mars, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run. Landon Mittlestadt was another, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Menomonie was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2025.

Menomonie's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for New Richmond, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5.

Menomonie will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tigers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
