Softball Recap: West Clermont Takes a Loss

West Clermont and Lakota East squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but West Clermont had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Thunderhawks by a score of 3-2. The Wolves were not able to make up for their loss to the Thunderhawks from their previous meeting back in April of 2019.

West Clermont has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Lakota East, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

West Clermont does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lakota East, they will challenge Lebanon at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so the Thunderhawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
