Softball Recap: Berkley Takes a Loss

Berkley was the 10-5 winner over Notre Dame Prep when they last played one another on Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Bears took a 17-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fighting Irish on Saturday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Saturday (ten), the Bears still had to take the loss.

Brooke Schall made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyse Muscat, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 4-for-5.

Berkley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Notre Dame Prep, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Berkley will square off against Cass Tech at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Notre Dame Prep, they will challenge Avondale at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
