Magdalena put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the Alamo Navajo Cougars as the Magdalena Steers made off with a 54-28 win. The Steers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 24 points or more this season.

Magdalena got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jorianne Mirabal out in front who posted 17 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. With that strong performance, Mirabal is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. Another player making a difference was Jema Ganadonegro, who put up nine points in addition to seven steals and six assists.

Magdalena's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0. As for Alamo Navajo, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Magdalena will venture away from home to take on Oak Grove Classical Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Alamo Navajo, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 38-31 victory against Capitan on the 12th.
