Football Game Preview: Colony Knights vs. Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears

The Colony Knights will venture away from home to face off against the Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Colony has given up an average of 29.3 points per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Colony is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alaska's top teams: South Anchorage, who was ranked fourth at the time (Colony was ranked 12th). The match between the Knights and the Wolverines didn't end well, with the Knights falling 48-29. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Wolverines recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Juneau-Douglas had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 15-14 victory over Dimond.

Juneau-Douglas' win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Colony, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 2-4.

Colony took a serious blow against Juneau-Douglas in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 42-6. Can the Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
