Softball Recap: Nocona Wins Going Away Against Bryson

Nocona entered their tilt with Bryson on Wednesday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victor by a 34-24 margin over the Bryson Cowboys. That looming 34-24 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Indians yet this season.

Nocona got a massive performance out of Tinley Cable, who got on base in six of her seven plate appearances with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. Cable has been hot recently, having also posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Skye Kirby was another key player, getting on base in five of her seven plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and four RBI.

Nocona always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .766. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .625 or higher in five consecutive matches.

Nocona's win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Looking ahead, Nocona is taking a road trip to square off against Electra at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Bryson, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Muenster at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
