Soccer Game Preview: North Smithfield vs. Ponaganset

The North Smithfield Northmen will head out to face off against the Ponaganset Chieftains at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

North Smithfield is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to seven goals on Thursday, they were much more limited against North Providence on Saturday. They came up short against the Cougars, falling 4-1. The matchup was a close 2-1 at the break, but unfortunately for North Smithfield it sure didn't stay that way.

Their goal came courtesy of Brynn Santos, who's now up to seven this season.

Meanwhile, Ponaganset has been on a difficult stretch since their win on September 22. Neither they nor Burrillville could gain the upper hand on Saturday so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

North Smithfield's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13-2. Ponaganset's draw makes their record 3-10-3 this season.
