Baseball Recap: Boys Ranch Comes Up Short

After flying high against White Deer last Friday, Boys Ranch came back down to earth. Boys Ranch lost 11-2 to the Booker Kiowas on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Roughriders in their meetings with the Kiowas: they've now lost three in a row.

Zeke Holman and Cam Yarbrough did some serious damage despite the final result: Holman scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Yarbrough scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Holman has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Boys Ranch's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Booker, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

While Boys Ranch had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
