Academy for Academic Excellence entered their tilt with University Prep on Thursday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Jaguars. For the Knights, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 victory the Jaguars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Academy for Academic Excellence was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-20, 20-25, 25-18, 15-11.

Academy for Academic Excellence was led to victory by Lindsey Flores and Brianna Vasquez. Flores had 40 digs, while Vasquez had 17 digs. Those 40 digs gave Flores a new career-high.

Academy for Academic Excellence was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 12 aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Academy for Academic Excellence's win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for University Prep, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-14.
