While Muir's win against Hoover wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mustangs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 victory over the Tornados on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Mustangs sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Muir's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Hoover, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Muir will face off against rival Pasadena at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Trey Gamble and Dutch Burbidge. Meanwhile, Hoover is set to take on their familiar foe Glendale at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
