Basketball Recap: Anclote Takes a Loss

Anclote played a tough contest on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Fivay Falcons, falling 66-40. The Sharks have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fivay to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dominick Walsh, who posted 12 points in addition to eight assists and six steals. Another player making a difference was Antwan Brown, who went 6 for 9 en route to 12 points along with five assists and four steals.

Anclote's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-12. As for Fivay, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

When Anclote and Fivay next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Anclote will try to stop Pasco's three-game winning streak when the meet at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Anclote will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Similarly, Fivay will take on Countryside and their four-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
