Football Recap: Deshaun Hille Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Madison + How To Watch

It's playoff time, and University City had no trouble coming through when it counted. They snuck past the Madison Warhawks with a 48-42 victory on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 49-45 back in October.

University City's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Deshaun Hille, who rushed for 268 yards and four TDs while picking up 13.4 yards per carry, and also picked up 72 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Hille has become a key player for the Centurions: the team is 5-2 when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 1-3 otherwise. DJ Ferguson also helped out with an impressive 91 receiving yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: University City was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 439 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Despite the loss, Madison still got an impressive performance from Adrian Sola, who rushed for 161 yards and three scores, and also picked up 55 receiving yards.

University City now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Madison, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.

Looking ahead, University City will challenge Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Centurions surely won't give up without a fight. Madison does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
