Volleyball Game Preview: Rock Canyon Jaguars vs. Legend Titans

Rock Canyon is 0-5 against Legend since June of 2021 but things could change on Thursday. The Jaguars will host the Titans at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Rock Canyon is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mountain Vista.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 20-25, 25-13, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Legend came up short against ThunderRidge on Tuesday and fell 3-1. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Legend started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-16, 25-13, 25-10.

Rock Canyon will have to contain Guy Gibbs as he made an impact in Legend's last game. He had 20 digs and one assist. Gibbs is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had ten or more in each of the last ten games he's played.

Rock Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Legend, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-11.

Rock Canyon couldn't quite get it done against Legend when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Jaguars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
