Softball Recap: Apopka Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Apopka couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost 9-2 to the Lake Brantley Patriots on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Blue Darters have suffered since March 29, 2024.

Apopka saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shylah Pino, who went 1-for-4 with one run.

Apopka's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 22-6. As for Lake Brantley, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 25-3.

Apopka does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lake Brantley, they will square off against Hagerty at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Huskies have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
