Softball Recap: Marion's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

If Marion was riding high fresh off their 6-0 takedown of Lytle on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 4-2 on Thursday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Marion saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maggie Luna, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Luna has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played.

With the loss, Marion broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 17-6-3. As for Lytle, the win got them back to even at 12-12-1.
