Volleyball Recap: Osawatomie Takes a Loss

Osawatomie lost against Marais des Cygnes Valley back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Osawatomie took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Marais des Cygnes Valley. Osawatomie has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-12.

Despite the defeat, Osawatomie saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Avaya O'Brien had nine digs and one assist. That assist was O'Brien's first of the season.

Osawatomie's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Marais des Cygnes Valley, the victory (which was their 20th in a row) raised their record to 25-1.

Osawatomie has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Baldwin on the 4th. As for Marais des Cygnes Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Pleasant Ridge on the 4th.
