Mattanawcook gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Central Red Devils by a score of 8-3. The Lynx have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Red Devils, too.

Bradly Dill made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over six innings pitched. Dill was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ryan Thibodeau, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Avery Jordan was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Central's defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Mattanawcook didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 9-0 win against George Stevens Academy on the 25th. As for Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 19-6 victory against Penquis Valley on the 30th.
