Volleyball Recap: Currituck County's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Currituck County had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They came out on top against the Deep Creek Hornets by a score of 3-1. For the Knights, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 win the Hornets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-10, 20-25, 25-14.

Daisy Pond paced Currituck County's offense, picking up 17 kills. Pond got some help from Melody Hill and her 35 assists. Hill was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Currituck County's victory bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Deep Creek, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Currituck County has already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Hertford County on the 16th. As for Deep Creek, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against King's Fork on the 18th.
